The more time I spent in the studio this summer with my garden's flowers, the more engrossed I became in their pure colors and shapes. I couldn't wait to  start interacting with my subjects, my eyes and brush moving in sync, quickly capturing the graceful sway of a stem or the brightest flash of color at once.  It's here, at this intersection of obsession, and an artist's hand that you find a work that is fresh, raw, and unburdened.
