I stood on the hill slightly below the fair that late afternoon as the shadows were getting long, but before the lights and motion of the fair turned the scene into a blinking, swirling riot of sound and color.  As I painted each patch of color and light I reminisced about being a teenager at my own town's summer fair; getting dropped off, meeting my friends, wearing the right pair of jeans, hoping to see the boys, and screaming with delight as my girlfriends and I rode the sizzler over and over.   The same story will happen here tonight as well, and more memories will be made among all this color and sound.
